NDIS House Cleaning

NDIS house cleaning is help keeping your home clean and safe when your disability makes it hard to do yourself. On Solotude, you can find independent cleaners who work with NDIS participants and offer regular visits.

Last updated October 2026

What’s usually included

  • Vacuuming and mopping floors
  • Cleaning the kitchen, including benches, sink and stovetop
  • Cleaning the bathroom and toilet
  • Dusting and wiping surfaces
  • Changing bed linen
  • Emptying bins
Most participants book a regular weekly or fortnightly clean. Seeing the same cleaner each time means they learn how you like things done, and you don’t have to explain your home to someone new.

Rules worth knowing

  • The NDIS pays for the cleaner’s time. Cleaning products and equipment are everyday costs you cover yourself, unless your cleaner includes them in their rate
  • It’s funded for tasks you can’t do because of your disability
  • If you live with others who could help, it may only cover the areas you use or your share
  • Rates must sit within the NDIS price limits
  • Agree what’s included in a written service agreement

Who provides house cleaning?

House cleaning is usually done by cleaners. If you’d like help with cleaning plus other things, like shopping or cooking, a support worker may be a better fit.

Cleaners don’t need to be NDIS registered for self-managed or plan-managed participants. Every provider on Solotude shows their rate on their profile, so you know the cost before you message them.
