NDIS Domestic Assistance

NDIS domestic assistance is help with the household jobs your disability makes hard, like cleaning, laundry and keeping the yard safe. On Solotude, it’s provided by independent cleaners, gardeners and support workers you choose yourself.

Last updated October 2026

What NDIS domestic assistance usually includes

  • Vacuuming, mopping and general cleaning
  • Cleaning the kitchen and bathroom
  • Washing, drying and folding laundry
  • Changing bed linen
  • Taking the bins out
  • Basic yard work, like mowing and clearing paths
Regular, reliable help often matters more than a big clean. Many participants book the same person at the same time each week or fortnight, so the house stays safe and manageable.

What it doesn’t include

  • Cleaning products and equipment, which are everyday living costs
  • Cleaning areas used by other people in your home who could do it themselves
  • One-off deep cleans, renovations or repairs
  • Jobs you can do yourself without difficulty

Who provides domestic assistance?
