The problem Solotude was built to solve
Most NDIS platforms make money from the work itself. They take a percentage of every hour delivered, or they charge a fee on every booking, or they employ the worker and keep the margin between what a participant pays and what the worker receives.
That model has three consequences. Participants get less support per plan dollar. Providers lose a permanent cut of their income. And the platform has a commercial reason to keep both sides inside its system rather than letting them build a direct relationship.
Solotude removed the percentage entirely. Providers pay a small flat weekly subscription to be listed and found. Nobody pays anything on the work that follows.

1. Verified before you connect
Providers can build and publish a profile while their verification is still in progress, so you can see who works in your area from the start. No connection is made until that provider is verified.
Verification means photo ID, an active ABN and a current NDIS Worker Screening Check. A Working with Children Check is mandatory for anyone supporting a person under 18. Support workers need a Certificate III in Individual Support or at least 12 months of documented experience. Allied health providers need current professional registration. Behaviour support practitioners must be NDIS registered.

Providers pay a flat weekly subscription, which is tax deductible as a business expense. Solotude takes no percentage of any hour worked and no fee on any connection made. A provider’s rate is their own, and so is their income.
4. Direct connection, no middleman
Solotude is a directory and a messaging platform. It is not an agency and not a booking system.
There is no calendar to work around, no invoicing engine, no platform-set rates and nobody approving arrangements. Once two people decide to work together, they exchange contact details and continue on their own terms. The relationship belongs to them, not to Solotude.
