NDIS Daily Living Support

NDIS daily living support helps you manage the everyday routines that keep your life running, and builds the skills to do more of them yourself. On Solotude, it’s provided by independent support workers you choose and message directly.

What daily living support usually includes

  • Planning your week and keeping on top of appointments
  • Shopping, cooking and simple meal planning
  • Budgeting, paying bills and managing money
  • Keeping your home tidy and running
  • Using public transport and getting around
  • Building routines and confidence to live more independently
The best daily living support has a goal behind it. Rather than doing a task for you every week, a good support worker will work out with you which parts you want to learn, and step back as you get more confident.

Who provides daily living support?

Most daily living support is delivered by support workers. Where you need a plan for building specific skills, an occupational therapist can assess what would help and show your support workers how to follow it.

How much does NDIS daily living support cost?

It depends on what the support is for. Day-to-day help usually comes from your Core Supports budget, under Assistance with Daily Life. Support focused on learning new skills usually comes from Capacity Building, under Improved Daily Living Skills. The NDIS sets price limits for both, and rates change with the time of day and day of the week. From 1 October 2026, Improved Daily Living Skills budgets are being reduced as plans are created or reassessed, and from 1 February 2027 at renewal. Day-to-day help like personal care and cleaning isn’t affected. Read the official NDIS update on support budget changes. Every provider on Solotude shows their rate on their profile, so you know the cost before you message them. For current price limits, check the official NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
