What it can help with

  • Strength, balance and coordination
  • Fitness and stamina for daily life
  • Managing weight, diabetes and heart health
  • Mental health and mood
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Building a routine you can keep up, at home or the gym

How it works

  1. Your exercise physiologist assesses your health, movement and goals.
  2. They design an exercise program around what you enjoy and can access.
  3. You do sessions together, at home, in a gym, at a pool or by telehealth.
  4. They track your progress and adjust the program as you improve.

Who provides exercise physiology?

Exercise physiology is provided by exercise physiologists. If you have pain or a new injury, see a physio first, then an exercise physiologist can help you build up from there.

How much does NDIS exercise physiology cost?

Therapy is usually paid from your Capacity Building budget, under Improved Daily Living. The NDIS sets an hourly price limit for each type of therapy, and it applies to time spent on assessments, sessions and writing reports. Therapists can usually also claim some travel time to come to you. Every provider on Solotude shows their rate on their profile, so you know the cost before you message them. For current price limits, check the official NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
